Graduating from the University of Salford with a degree in statistics and economic history. Along with his degree Paul has gained many awards and accreditations throughout his professional career including being a director of Cedia, Director of the IVA (Indian Videogram Association) and a director of the BVA (British Videogram Association) to name but a few. Paul’s passion for discrete and efficient technology often finds him at design shows and exhibitions where a hands-on approach to testing new technology leads him to deliver a personalized system for each of his clients.
A strong work ethic and a strong team is the strong foundation D&T has been built upon. After work you can find Paul riding one of his many motorbikes or walking his beloved dog with the family.
In my spare time, I am a keen football fan & have a season ticket at Arsenal. I enjoy relaxing watching a good film & playing computer games. When I am not taking my dog for a walk, I enjoy being creative, from drawing to 3D graphics & animations.
I have been into computers from the early days, so when the chance came to change from working as a draughtsman on a drawing board, to using CAD, I embraced it & found the change a big step forward, I found that I enjoyed my work so much more. Other than AutoCAD, I have taught myself how to use some other useful programs for design & visualisation such as SketchUp, Podium & Lumion.
When it comes to CAD drawing, I am a bit of a perfectionist & try very hard to make my drawings detailed & stand out from the rest. My Father always said “You can never have enough detail on a drawing” & that has stuck with me for life.
He has a degree in Audio Technology from the University of Salford, and a range of accreditations and certifications from industry bodies and solution providers. Matt hates to be bored, and the broad range of client requirements and the constantly evolving technology have ensured his enthusiasm over two decades at D&T Electronics.
He is focused on building strong, effective relationships with clients, partners and team members, and believes communication is the key to this. Away from work, Matt can be found making improvements to his koi pond and trying (with limited success) to tame his two sons.
